Meal Planning; Meat & Potatoes

A classic combination with so many options, it doesn’t have to be boring, honest!  With the right inspiration delicious, family friendly dinners that everyone will enjoy are possible.  That’s where this weeks Meal Planning; Meat & Potatoes recipes come in.   PIN them for later!

My mother tells stories of her family dinners where they ate the same things, on the same nights every week.  If she forgot what day it was, she could tell by what was being served, it was that routine.    While that works for some, I get bored.  I need variety, and I like to use different cuts of meat for different seasons, and occasions.

The benefit of having an amazing collection of Meal Planning Meat & Potatoes recipes is you’ll never get bored.  It also  keeps you on budget as you can use such a wide variety of Beef cuts, and you’re sure to find something that even the pickiest of eaters will enjoy.

I also find that Beef Recipes reheat well, in some cases, even better on the second day.

What are the best cuts of Beef for Slow Cooking?

  • Chuck steak or roast
  • Round steak
  • Blade Roast
  • Topside
  • Skirt steak

What are the best cuts of Beef for cooking quickly?

  • Ground Beef
  • Flank Steak
  • Sirloin Steak
  • Rib Eye Steak
  • Prime Rib

Tip:  Choose the right cut of beef for the day you are planning for.  Need something in a hurry? you’ll need a quick cooking cut.   Have all day? or love using your Instant Pot?  Tougher and less expensive cuts of beef are your friend!
